Indian-origin Arvind Krishna will be the next CEO of IBM, to take over from April 6

Indian-origin Arvand Krishna has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of International Business Machines (IBM). According to news agency ANI, Arvind Krishna will replace Virginia Rometty, a longtime CEO.

According to a statement released by IBM on Thursday, 62-year-old Virginia Rometti will remain executive chairman by the end of this year and will retire after working at the company for 40 years. This information was given by IBM in a statement. Krishna will take over as the new Chief Executive Officer of International Business Machines (IBM) on 6 April.

Currently Arvind Krishna is the Vice President for Cloud and Cognitive Software, where he heads the IBM Business Unit. Arvind’s current responsibilities include IBM Cloud, IBM Security and Cognitive Application Business and IBM Research.

Let me tell you that Arvind Krishna is read from IIT Kanpur. He has an undergraduate degree from IIT Kanpur. He also has a PhD from University of Illinois, Urbanana Champagne.
